A little bit of magic

Happy Tuesday!  Over the weekend I checking out Sunday Stamps Challenge and wanted to play with he colors and inspiration that was so fun and fresh.  Check it out...

Here is how I played with this amazing color combo:

This image from Craftin Desert Divas is absolutely darling!  I love the anime eyes on this cutie.  It could be colored as a girl, but I wanted to make it a sweet boy.  Coloring with my Copics was fun and I enjoyed adding little highlights and shadows. The oval die cut is from PTI.  The sentiment is from Ellen Houston and the enamel dots are MME.  I love this perfect little magical scene, it makes me smile.  I hope you enjoyed it too!

Thanks for your visit!

Put a flower on it!

Hey friends!  A quick post today that i wanted to share with you.  A friend of mine recently got a new job and I made this card for her to congratulate her on the accomplishment.  Congrats Girlfriend!  You know who you are!

This card was created by repeatedly stamping these cute bugs from HA/Lia Griffith on watercolor paper with archival ink.  I then came back in with my Zigs to watercolor the images.  I set that aside and did another ladybug and a flower (from a VERY old HA set I have, name  unknown) and water-colored them as well.  I die cut the embroidery hoop and center from a Neat and Tangled die and accented the center with faux stitching.  I placed the flower and lady bug on top and added this sentiment from Mama Elephant Labeled Messages.  I really love how it all turned out together, the colors and the way the message pops!  I hope my friend enjoys receiving it too! :)

LIttle Acres

Hey friends!  Welcome to the CLC and Little Acres Creation Collaboration Hop to celebrate Little Acres Birthday Bash!  We have cards with some super cute stamps to share and there are prizes to be won, but first....

You should have arrived here from Ms. Dana Warren's blog!

Here is my creation for today!

I love that mouse and that teacup.  Just darling.  I love these soft, subtle colors too, they have that old fashioned feel paired with the cup.  The Little Acres image is colored using Copics.  The green tag goes perfectly with the green paper from Sara Davies Tea Party Collection (Crafter's Companion).  I cut the paper using and Avery Elle die and mounted on white.  The sentiment is perfect.

Next up on the hop is the amazing Ka!thy Schweinfurth!

Make sure to hop along to all the blogs and comment to be eligible for the prizes, there are two $10 gift certificates from Little Acres up for grabs!.  Commenting closes Friday, April 20th at 11:55 pm PST and the winner will be announced Monday, April 23rd.

Thanks for your visit today and happy hopping!

Hello Bluebird- BUNNIES!

SQUEE!!!  Those bunnies from Hello Bluebird are soooooooooo dang cute!  I recently discovered Hello Bluebird and I have to get my hands on them!  Thankfully my friend Kerry had these sweeties and let me stamp a few out.

So this card, this darling card, with those darling bunnies.....SQUEE!  Sorry, I got distracted by the cute!  So these sweeties were colored using my Copics.  It was fun to make the one spotted.  I like to imagine them strolling along and having a friendly conversations about gardening and Mr. Robin is just flying by enjoying the breeze.  They are accented with this Lawn Fawn DP and the grass die and complimented with the PTI cloud dies and all cut out using an Avery Elle frame die.

Here is another close up shot.  Don't you just love the spot around the left eye!?!  I think I might need to squeal again! :)

OK, thanks for visiting!

Spring Break

As this week is spring break, it feels appropriate to take a moment to thank the teachers out there who do outstanding work and let them know that break is well deserved.  THANK YOU! So with that said, I will share a card I plan to give to my daughter's teacher.

I love, love this sweet image from SugarPea Designs.  It reminds me of my days in elementary school and the end of year Teddy Bear Picnic. :)  I stamped this sweetie on watercolor paper in Archival Ink. I colored him using my Zigs.  I absolutely love this color combo with read and turquoise, so fun and perfect to accent the bears backpack and apple that way so I can use this Lawn Fawn DP.  I cut the DP using my Gina Marie die.  On that you can see the journal card and the Neat & Tangled sequins.

I do hope my sweet daughter’s teacher likes it.

Happy Spring Break all!

Notecards

Hi friends.  Just a quick post to share with you today.  I made a series of note cards at the request of a friend.  In total I made 24 of them all different.  I just wanted to share a few of my faves with you today.

They all feature a central image cut with a Gina Marie die and mounted on a solid piece of cardstock.  The images are stamps from different stamp manufacturers and colored with various methods.  The above images are a combo of Crafter's Companion and Ellen Houston.

These images are Crafter's Companion and Ellen Houston and Designs by Ryn.  I've colored these with Copics and SN Sparkle Pens.

This series features Crafter's Companion and Copics.  I love the squirrel
!

Last but not least is a series of floral images.  They are from CC, Technique Tuesday and Stampin' Up!  Again colored with Copics.

I hope you and the friend I made these for enjoyed them.
