It's coming!

I know it is only July, but if you have been to any of the local craft stores you know Christmas is well on it's way.  The Christmas crafts are out full tilt, and if you want them, you have to snatch them up before they are gone!

Which brings us to today's blog post featuring some Christmas product on this lovely July day.  This is some of the new product that will be coming out from Crafter's Companion on the upcoming August HSN show on August 16th.  Click here to learn more!

So without further ado, let me share just one of the creations I've made for the upcoming show using the De'sire Edgable dies, the lovely new Luxury Cardstock and the upcoming embossing powders.

Don't you just love the cardstock, the one is so reflective like a mirror and the other is so glittery!  Also, the edge dies are likely meant to be flowers but who says you can't stretch those dies and make them into snowflakes?!  Here is a close up:

Thanks for the visit.

Shabby Chic Thanks

Happy Monday!  Today is a good day to be alive I think!

Today I wanted to share a recent card I made for Crafter's Companion.

This features the pearlescent cardstock Sara Davies Spring Garden collection DP and Lace Ribbon.  So pretty with those sweet little butterflies.  Also, I used the fun rub-ons with foil that were shown in the May HSN.  They are so cool and fun!   Here is another shot that better shows the shimmer of the foils.

So darn pretty don't you think?  I just love the shabby chic feel.

Thanks for visiting today!

On the Horizon

Hey all.  You may have noticed I took a little break from Sketch Saturday, but I am baaa-aack!  Just in time for a fun new sketch!

Now take this fun sketch and flip it on it's side, add a little Digi Stamp Boutique and BAM!

Isn't Mr. Dan soooooo cute!  I really had fun coloring this guy and his bitty bird.  I coupled him with some Authentque DP and used some star punches and woodchips to accent the stars on the DP.  The woodchips were also colored with a Copics.  The little Journal cards are from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Ellen Houston.  So happy with this result!

OK, please head on over to Sketch Saturday and join us for the fun!

A little Curtain Call?

Hi again!  It is a busy posting week for me, I know kinda strange....  But I have been busy creating and I've had a few free minutes to get some blog posts up!  This one is to play in the current Curtain Call Challenge.  Here is the inspiration photo:

And here is the card I made, I threw in a few extra colors but I figured the team over there wouldn't begrudge me that because it is soooo cute!

I just can't take the cuteness of this elephant from the Neat & Tangled Beach Day set!  SQUEE!!!
This is perfectly coupled with red rubber wave background stamp that I purchased at impress.  The die is from Waffle Flower.  I love the contrast of the yellow and the blue.  The bonus are the little sunshine's in the yellow DP, perfect.   I hope you like too.

PS- My friend Lenae is guesting over at the Curtain Call with the cutest card, so you have to go check it out!

Thanks for visiting!

Hug Time?

What do you think about today? I think today is a good day to play in the Your Next Stamps Color Challenge #68!

Do you know what else today is a good day for?  HUGS!

Here is my card for the YNS Challenge.  I used the Insanely Happy set because, well... just read the title.  These sweet things are soooo cute!  I paired "Poppy" with this fun journal card.  I used some Doodlebug DP and Enamel dots with some Studio Calico twine.  The die in the background is from Gina Marie Designs. I enjoyed every moment of coloring with my Copics.

Now if you haven't seen the trolls movie you should, it is just too cute and it will bring you even more happiness to this already insanely happy set!

Thanks for the visit!

THD MId Challenge 14- Mermazing

Raise your hand if you are enjoying the summer?!  Me!!!

We spent the 4th of July with family and it was HOT there.  But thankfully we got to spend time on
the water, swimming and in kayaks.

The Heart Desires Blog has a fun beach themed challenge to go with all that summer sun. Remember this beauty?

Super fun, super wow, super colors right?  You've gotta give it up to Toni for the AMAZING mood boards she makes!  Here is my mid-challenge card:

For this card I started with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Embossing Waves. I added some Distress Oxide Ink- Broken China.  I came back in with Stormy Sky and added some circles.  Next I colored this sweet mermaid from Neat and Tangled's Mermazing and finished her off with some highlights and sparkle pens. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.  Pretty happy how this sweet girl turned out.

Don't forget, we are celebrating the anniversary of The Heart Desires Store and the THD Challenge this month with a hop where you could be a winner! Come join us for the fun!

True Love Blooms

Happy Tuesday!  I believe today is a good day for some color!

OK, if you love to color these Crafter's Companion Colorista Background stamps are perfect for that. I found myself in a hypnotic state when using this stamp.  I stamped it using my Misti, it was the easiest way to use this big stamp.  I then used a whole assortment of Spectrum Noir Markers to color this bad boy (including: BT3, CR3, ES9, LY1-3, OR1, LG1-2, CT1, CG2, CG2-3, GT!, HB2, BT7 & 9, TB9 and BP6).

I framed the card with a couple layers of Cardstock and added a sentiment to the front.  Perfect, easy and mesmerizing.  I hope you agree!

Thanks for the visit today!

Easel Card

Hi Friends!  Tomorrow is the the big day over on HSN; the launch and release of lots of amazing new Crafter's Companion Products.  Don't miss it!  You can find the details here along with all the products and more sneak peaks!

Meanwhile, I wanted to share this super cool Easel Card with you. These are fun card bases that are already scored to make some fun atypical card shapes, easels, side step, gate fold and more.

For this I took the De'sire Easel card base and cut into the 4 corners uing my De'sire Lace Corner Die.  It was so pretty and I took some pink cardstock behind it to make the cuts pop.  Then I used the Create a Card Circle Die (from the last release and cut it a few different times, first into the base and then into the Red Shimmer Cardstock, then into the DP and cut out the middle, to create this layered look.  I finished it off by adding the Sara Davies Glamour Ribbon and a butterfly pin.  So pretty.  The following are going to be new in tomorrow's release- Easel Card, Lace Corner Die, Glamour collection.

I hope you enjoyed this card AND hope to see you at the big release tomorrow.

THD Challenge 14- get it while it's hot!

We're celebrating the anniversary of The Heart Desires Store and the THD Challenge this month with a hop where you could be a winner! Can't believe it has been a year already!!!    At the same time we're going to start something new for the challenge, so strap in folks and enjoy the ride!

Here is this month's challenge photo- swoon!

Here is my first take on the challenge:

For this card I started with a white base and embossed using the  Carta Bella Anchors Away Stencil.  I came in with a some Ranger distress ink in orange and yellow and the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Too.  Once I had the base I took these Memory box waves, also added blue distress ink.  Next I cut out the C9 Heartstrings Die, I set aside the innards for later and used the negative heart shape to set this beach lovers scene.  The final touch was the wood boat from Studio Calico.  This is a no stamping card for me my friends, such a rarity!

Now, you are gonna want to head over to THD blog and check out all the fun creations and join this hop and challenge because missing out is not an option.  Here is a quick snippet of the rules:

    Encouragement- Love Cynthia Style

Happy Weekend!  Like always I am so glad for rest and crafting!

Today I have a fun encouragement card to share with you.

I created this by stamping the sweet girl from Love Cynthia on watercolor paper.  Then I used my Zigs to color her up nice and sweet.  The paper is from Doodlebug Spring Things Collection.  (LOVE the froggy paper!) I used my MFT dies to create that fun curved edge along the bottom.  Lastly I used the PTI cloud to create the mood and finally is the sweet sentiment.
