Guest Designer- Inspired by....

I have something fun to share today.  I am a guest designer over at Inspired by All the Little Things!  So tickled to be working with this fabulous DT and fabulous challenge.  So, with out further ado, let's get to it.  Here is the current challenge:

I took some creative liberties with this photo and I hope they don't mind.  I zoned in on the colors, the leaves/fall feel and the cups.   Here is my creation.

This card started with the white cardstock that I had saved that had a negative cut of a polaroid cut out in it.  I thought it would make a fun background, especially with some orange, yellow and green distress inks.  I added some woodgrain paper behind it for more texture.  I then colored and cut out this sweet Mama elephant bunnyand  paper pieced the stripey scarf.  I added the little leaves swirling through the air for an extra touch of fall feel.  Lastly I cut and added the Little Yellow Bicycle Hello die.

Such an appropriate card for today as it is going to be rainy fall weather.  I'd like to cuddle up and stay warm with a nice cup of cocoa. :)

A big thanks to the Ladies over at Inspired by all the Little Things for having me, so fun to join in. Head on over and see what else this talented crew has in store.

Thanks for stopping!

Stack 'em high!

Hey Ya'll it is time for some mid-challenge inspiration over at The Heart Desires Blog!  Be sure to head over and see the fab inspiration by the DT.  But first, check out my card.

The feature of this card is the fabulous cake from Concord and 9th Happy Day Stamps and  the coordinating Happy Dies, The We R Memory Keepers Woven Embossing Folder also makes a nice background for this beauty, I love the texture.  I used a freckled fawn embellishment to dress this up and make it perfect for a wedding or anniversary.

I focused on the stacked elements and colors for this round of  the challenge.   Remember the inspiration photo...

OK, head on over to the THD blog and check out the fun!  Thanks for visiting:

Fall Fun

I am getting ready for a fall crafty gathering with my PNW crafting friends.  All the preparation has me going fall crazy.  Of course I recently got my order of the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall Pad and Lawn Fawn Jump for Joy sets compliments of The Heart Desires Store.  So this last weekend, I busted them both out and had some play time.  Check out what I made:

I love the saying in this one, perfect for some fall fun!  This one features the products mentioned, but also has a PTI scalloped rectangle, Fancy Pants Journal Card, Tree Stump from Neat & Tangled, butterflies from Lawn Fawn Meadow Border, CS from SU! and my Copics.

This second card is a shaker and it is fun to have those leaves in there with the sequins.  Again, In addition to the LF products mentioned at the top, I also used Neat & Tangled Sequins, some fun leaves and acorns purchased from my local craft store, PTI scalloped oval die, SU! Chocolate Chip Ink and CS and again my Copics.

Well I hope you enjoyed checking these out as much as I enjoyed making them.  I have more fall cards to share so come back and visit soon!

Getting in the mood...

...for the holidays!

I know, part of it feels sickening and how could it come so early... but part of it feels oh-so-right!

So the other day I was up and about working on a few various holiday cards.  Here is one I came up with using this sweet little Poppy Stamps set and the new Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas.  I love poinsettias and so I stamped them with the Hero Arts Intense Black ink and then colored them in this peachy pink color combo.  It looks pretty yummy with the plaid and the yellow enamel dots, they simply pop off the page.  But best of all, I love the sentiment with the tree for the A!  Cute, clever, swooning!

So that is all for this quick post today, just wanted to let you know I am getting in the mood! ;)

THD Challenge #5

It's time for another Challenge over at The Heart Desires!  We have some super fun inspiration for you today........

Seriously, love the colors and the saying crack me up!  You'll notice that our brilliant coordinator pointed out some ideas for you to focus on, the colors, large sentiments or stacking items.  You know the rules, you have to pick at least one of the elements and it if isn't obvious tell us what you chose.

OK, now here is my creation:

For my creation I focused both on the colors and the large sentiment.  The American Crafts Bloom 6x6 Paper made using these colors super easy!  The were built in perfection.  I used my Hero Arts Intense Black Ink with the Hero Arts sentiment that is paper pieced from the same DP pack.  A few layers and done.  This card was a cinch to make.

OK, will you be joining us this month?  I sure hope you do and can't wait to see what you make.  Head on over to the The Heart Desires to see more inspiration!

Happy Birthday Lenae!

Well Hello there!  Who doesn't love a beautiful day in October.  There is only one thing that can make it better... that is celebrating sweet Lenae's Birthday!

Here is my card for Lenae featuring Your Next Stamp's Vacation Pheobe:

I chose this for a few reasons: 1) I know Lenae likes YNS (who doesn't they are so cute!) 2) Lenae was recently on a tropical adventure, so it is fitting and 3) I love the sentiments, "Friendships are the best ships of all."  Hopefully Miss L will enjoy this card. :)

Lenae is sweet, kind and generous and an excellent baker!  I hope she doesn't have to make her own cake, but if she does, well I guarantee it will be tasty!

So happy birthday to you Miss L, enjoy the day!

Here is the hop list:
