Last Day of Sale-a-bration!!!!

Sadly, today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration (SAB) for 2010.

I always feel a bit choked up when SAB ends, it is really my favorite time of year at SU! It is so fun to see customer's faces light up when they realize how easy it is to get a free stamp set or two or three (etc...)! Or when they book a party and invite everyone they know because they want all the free stuff they can get. There is just so much excitement around SAB!

It is fun for me too, not only to do more parties and see people excited, but also because as a demonstrator, I can also earn free SAB products. I enjoy taking these items and turning around and creating something new and fun with them. Here is a sample card featuring one of the SAB sets Good Neighbor- isn't it cute?! What a great card for a welcome to the neighborhood gift or Congrats on your new house. I'd love to get this in the mail!

So if you haven't taken advantage of SAB but want to, get a move on as today is the last day! You can visit my SU! website here to learn more about how to get your free SAB products.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

NEITHER!!!! Didn't you know it was the Easter Bunny that came first?! :)

Here is what the Easter Bunny (aka me) was busy doing at my house yesterday. Making millions and millions of little egg cartons with chicks on the outside (see the bunny came and made the chicks...Oh, jokes aren't funny if you have to explain them?? Darn it all!). Really, there weren't millions of cartons, but I cut out so many chicks and eggs I sure felt like it! I made these fun little festive egg cartons to sell at my local (and favorite-est ever!) coffee stand- Cuppa Jo on the Go. I filled some with grass and chocolates and some with jellybeans- yum! They are so cute and they looked great with all the pastel colors in the basket. :)

Now, if you haven't visited Cuppa Jo you should because they make some darn good coffee and the best part is the chocolate whip cream, yes you heard me right, liquid gold right there!!!!! On Eastlake Ave. in Seattle. I have seen her make the whip cream, she has a highly scientific method for measuring and mixing that makes it to die for. AND....while you are there you might as well stock up on some of my milk carton treats right?! ;) What could be better, do you easter shopping, get espresso and chocolate whip cream all in one stop, paradise!
Now I just have to finish more of these little beauties for selling and for the kiddo egg hunt party we are going to with my daughter this weekend. Should be so fun to see Soph and all her little class/daycare mates hunting for eggs together, so cute!
Hopping you have a eggceptional day! ;) OK, no more cheesy jokes today, I promise. :D

Birthday Bundles

Another day, another crappy picture taken with my camera on my phone- sorry! One day, I swear I will get my light replaced so I can take good pictures again. It seemed so short lived, the good pictures I mean, got the photo box and then the light burnt out. Finding a replacement has not been easy. Alas, you did not come here to hear me complain, you came to see some pictures of what I have made.

You might be reading this, but maybe you are just a blurfer (surf the blogs & look at pics but don't read). Admittedly, I do that much of the time, but I do like to stop sometimes, especially at those peoples blogs I like, and read a bit. I have found a few times with the blogs I frequent I have made some friends or blogging buddies. That has been fun as some of the folks I really enjoy are in different parts of the Country- Texas, NY, IL, etc- so I get to hear about their different lives and different weather and different inspiration and what not. I encourage you to go out and read one or two entries (if you are even reading this! wink!) and see who is out there. Ha! That just reminded me of the Elmo video my daughter loves about making friends, they have a song about meeting people, "Stick out your hand and say hello!" Good lord, I am at work and all I can think about is stamping and muppets (or muffets as Sophie calls them)! Ah well, I am using the old noggin' just maybe not in the preferred way at this time. :)

Meanwhile, I should get back to work, but just wanted to put this little ditty up, the card we made at Berni's workshop last weekend. Again, REALLY crappy picture, but you get the idea right?! I love this set Happy Moments from the Sale-a-bration catalog, it is really fun to do paper piecing with it.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it really means a lot to me that people look and leave comments. Have an ever so lovely Wednesday!

You Crack Me Up!

Just wanted to share this little easter card I made recently. I used the set You Crack me Up and paper pieced the little chick and egg. I am loving this Sweet Pea DSP I used for the chick, the saying and the background of the paper, it is so fun.

Anyway, Happy Spring all, enjoy!

Luck of the Irish

Whoa, I actually got a posting up on the day of!!!!!!!!!! :)

Happy St. Patrick's day all, may the luck of the Irish be with you. This card I made at Tracy's house for her Stampin' Up! Party, this was the make n' take. We used the heart from the Hello Again Stamp set to make the 4 leaf clover. So Easy, so fun!

I wanted to get this card up so that I could post in on Stacey Stamping Stage Curtain Call Act 21.
Anyway, gotta run to a stamp event, but thanks for stopping by! :)

Happy Birthday Heather!

So I have a few things to post, but my light is still out in my Studio in a Box. I really just need to take care of it, go to a store in Seattle I think can help, but time is always hard with the kiddo, job, and hubby, etc.... Oh well, maybe tomorrow, OR maybe TODAY on my lunch! Needless to say, the color could be better in this photo, but at least I am posting something right?!

This was for my friend and stampin buddy, Heather's b-day. I also bought her some of the Bride Specialty DSP (which is white, the paper below is the Groom paper but the white was hard to see, so this is easier on the eyes). She makes a lot of custom order wedding invitations, so this is perfect for her.

Price: $13.95

Thanks and hope you have a great day!

Feb/March Newsletter

3/3/10

Obviously, February has come and gone and I didn't get my newsletter out, sorry. February was fun filled though, I enjoyed making valentines for the kiddos in Sophie's class with Berni (my friend and Mom of Sophie's friend Ashley) and some for my family as well. You can see those cards and other projects on my blog- http://www.kbstamps.blogspot.com/. Unfortunately, I didn't even get to look at the Feb. newsletter to see what fabo projects were on there, oh well. This one is great though, did you see the cards ala carte set- great for those who like to host formal dinner parties or potentially for a wedding dinner menu or the like.
Meanwhile, you probably noticed that Sale-a-bration (SAB) is still going on, but only through the end of March. I have two workshops planned and a class, if you are interested in attending one of these, let me know. However, if you want to do something on your own, with your friends, there is still time, so contact me to sign up. I can earn SAB benefits too and I am happy to say that thus far, I have earned 4 stamp sets, 1 paper pack and a punch- go me! Don't miss out on this easy opportunity for free stuff!
March is all about St. Patrick' Day right!?! Well here are a few tips for you to make some easy special cards or other project embelishments. #1 - Take 4 hearts, any style or size, punch or cut out stamped image and put the points together to make a four leaf clover! So easy, so cute! (I have a sample I hope to post tonight) #2- if you have the Cheers to You stamp set (or anything with a beer mug in it) simply color it green for some green beer- yum! Great idea for a more masculine card or if you are planning on throwing a party.
Thursday, I am heading to Canon Beach for a 4 day weekend with my family, my Mom and her Hubby. I am so looking forward to a break from "reality". Hoping to take lots of pictures of the kiddo and fam for scrapbook pages and hoping to find lots of Ocean inspriation! I hope I have enough room in the suitcase for all my SU! supplies! ;)
Happy March Y'all!

Sharing my Stampin' Up! Story

I just thought it would fun to share the story of how I joined Stampin' Up! and why I love it so much. So, just read and enjoy or not. I do have a few projects I'd like to get photos of. Still don't have the right lights for my studio in a box, may have to improvise and get them up. Without further ado...

I joined Stampin' Up! with out thinking twice. Someone in my office was a demo, and although I hadn't done a lot of stamping before, I always loved to craft and be creative. It was during SAB and I the discount and extra stamp set were an easy sell to me. In fact, the demonstrator didn't ask me to sign up, I asked her! :)

I had recently had my lovely little daughter and she was precious and perfect, I wanted to get in to scrapbooking and stamping to preserve those memories. I later realized, I also wanted to do it to get a little part of "me" back, a little time for myself to decompress or focus on something I wanted to focus on. I found that the more I stamped and scrapped the more I loved it. It was/is addicting to create, especially cards, you can have a finished product in a short amount of time with limited supplies, how wonderful it felt to have acomplished something. Even better I began to share my new love with family & friends, mostly I just give away the cards and books I make, or brag and show off the scrapbook pages of my Sophie (my daughter), but I also enjoy offering classes and showing others how much fun it can be so if they find this experience empowering as I did, they can do it too.

I have found that there is always more and more product I want- thank goodness for the demo discount! I am lucky to have signed up with Stampin' Up! who has such high quality product. I love learning to use each product and am finding that the possiblities of what can be done are endless. I feel that becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator has helped give me a sense of self and helps me to feel more confident in my life.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed!

Going to Cannon Beach

Hey, will be gone for a long weekend, but hope to have some posts when I get back.
